Arsenal vs Manchester United score result: Fernandes, Sancho goals blank Gunners 2-0 in preseason
Manchester United gained bragging rights over rivals Arsenal as first-half goals from Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho gave Erik ten Hag's side a 2-0 victory in their pre-season friendly in Oslo on Saturday.
Fernandes opened the scoring in the 12th minute, firing home from the penalty spot after a handball by Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes.
Sancho doubled United's lead in the 21st minute, finishing off a fine move involving Marcus Rashford and Fred.
Arsenal improved after the break but could not find a way past United goalkeeper David de Gea, who made several fine saves.
The result is a boost for ten Hag, who is preparing for his first season in charge of United, while Arsenal will be disappointed with their performance.
