Tigers Defeat Florida 18-4 in Game 3
LSU has won the College World Series championship after defeating Florida 18-4 in Game 3 on Monday night. The Tigers took an early lead and never looked back, scoring 10 runs in the first three innings. Florida was unable to keep pace, and LSU cruised to the victory.
The win gives LSU its seventh NCAA baseball championship in program history. The Tigers have now won more national titles than any other school.
Florida was seeking its second national championship in program history. The Gators had a chance to force a Game 4 with a win on Monday night, but LSU was too strong. Florida will now have to settle for a second-place finish.
