Patriots Vs Jets Why Hunter Henry Allen Lazard May Flourish

Patriots vs. Jets: Why Hunter Henry & Allen Lazard may flourish

Hunter Henry, New England Patriots

Bye week breakout candidate

With the Patriots on bye in Week 7 and Matthew Judon sidelined for at least three weeks, Hunter Henry could be poised for a big Week 8 performance.

Henry has been a solid PPR option for fantasy managers this season, averaging 4 catches and 41 receiving yards in six games. He has yet to find the end zone, but that could change against a Jets defense that has allowed the third-most fantasy points to tight ends this season.

Rhamondre Stevenson's return

The Patriots' offense is expected to take a step forward in Week 8 with the return of running back Rhamondre Stevenson. Stevenson has been one of the most efficient runners in the NFL this season, averaging 5.2 yards per carry.

Stevenson's presence should help open up the passing game for Henry, as the Jets will likely focus on stopping the run. That could lead to more opportunities for Henry in the passing game.

Allen Lazard, Green Bay Packers

Davante Adams' departure

Allen Lazard is the clear No. 1 receiver in the Packers' offense now that Davante Adams is gone. Lazard has been productive in the past when given the opportunity, and he should be in line for a big season in 2022.

In 2021, Lazard caught 40 passes for 513 yards and 8 touchdowns. He was Aaron Rodgers' favorite target in the end zone, and he should continue to be a reliable red-zone threat in 2022.

Matchup against the Jets

The Jets defense has been one of the worst in the NFL against wide receivers this season. They have allowed the most fantasy points to wide receivers, and they have given up at least one touchdown to a wide receiver in every game this season.

Lazard should be able to take advantage of the Jets' weak pass defense in Week 8. He is a good bet to have a big game, and he could be a valuable fantasy option for managers who need a wide receiver.
